Plans for the DMV site?

Rather than just remodel the San Francisco DMV Office at 1377 Fell St., the plan may be to design a new shopping mall that includes a DMV. On an unrelated note, can someone post some information about Cafe Organica? It has been closed for almost a year, the lights are on, and I occasionally see people in there. Are they going to reopen?
Also, there was a shooting about 2 weeks ago at hayes and central in the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday. Apparently, it happened after a funeral at the church there. How can we get information about that?
Finally, as a resident of the neighborhood, I would like to see a more organized effort to eliminate the obvious crime going on. It seems that drug deals are on the rise and there is an increase in people hanging out on the streets. Are there efforts going on that can be shared?
I think the dealers must have just gotten let out of jail. I noticed they are back and now at hayes and central, rather than grove. maybe it was just that day.
anyway, you need to let the cops know that you know that they are back. my guess is that the cops know, but can't do anything until they get something on them.
