No more Daebul???

The sign is gone, the awning is gone, and the dumpster out front has been filled up over the past week...

Are they actually closed?

Did they bow to neighborhood pressure?

Maybe they lost their clientele...

Does anyone have further info?

On the downside, we don't really need another vacant building on that block that will soon be covered with graffiti like the former Fulton Street.

Thank God it's gone - it gave the area a really shady vibe.

There's a new sign up today. "Gobin" or something like that.

Probably still a whorehouse, though.

Interesting. You can search for permits and complaints on the SF building inspection department web site, and there's none issued for 1775 Fulton. But for 1785 Fulton, the old Fulton Street club, there was one issued a couple weeks ago. What are they doing?

REPLACE ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS AT FRONT FACADE/REPLACE 3 STAIRS/CONSTRUCT 4 NEW TOILET ROOMS/REPAIR EXTG FACADE/MISCELLANEOUS OTHER REPAIRS/REPLACE GAS LINE REPLACE ELECTRICAL PANEL/MISCELLANEOUS STRUCTURAL REPIARS.

Hmm.

Well, I did post in haste yesterday as was pointed out above, there's a new sign (w/ NEON, too) for a place called Gabin. The awning has a coffee cup on it, and some foreign language lettering, perhaps more Korean?

Googling 'Gabin' comes up with nothing more than a French cabaret star... Let's hope it might be something as cool as a cabaret... But I'm not holding my breath yet...

Also, Fulton Street Bar now has a FOR LEASE sign in the window. It's being offered by TriTerra Realty (415-648-4600). Calls to TriTerra went unaswered this afternoon. I'll keep trying.

The post above would be referencing the code compliance work that is likely necessary to bring the space up to snuff with the city so they can lease it. It's doubtful that they have a tenant if they have a sign in the window...

Does anyone know if the owner of the building is still the same?
