Old Post Office @ Hayes & Divisadero
Work has finally begun on the old post office building down at Hayes & Divisadero. I've heard it will be a restaurant. The architect/designer has post a big sign on the front, so he must be impressed with his plans...

Kia ORa (Hello) from a blogger down under in New Zealand. Its great when they make use of old building, instead of pulling them down all the time. They have make an old post office - build in 1912 - into a Belgian Beer Cafe & restaurant. The 4th one in the world, but the lst for NZ
It also looks like they're finally doing something with the old church at like 901 Divisadero at the corner of McAllister. Sign suggests retail use. Definite improvement over the bum toilet it has been.
I'm looking forward to see what goes in at both these sites. I think the old church is still looking for a tennat, based on the sign. It'd be nice to see a restaurant go in, or a decent organic food store (sorry, i really don't care for Green Earth). Or maybe a Famima!!!
